Breaking News:

Hello all you So You Think You Can Craft fans!  I’m so thrilled that Missy let me invade her blog today :)
Photobucket
I’m Courtney from Scraps and Scribbles.
A little about me:  I live in sunny Florida with my sweet hubby of 6 years and our two kiddos-Bobby, our son who is 3 and Korra, our 2-month-old little girl.  I am happily a stay-at-home mommy and love every minute of it.  I’m also currently a full-time student.  In the little amounts of free time that I do get, I love to tinker, take pictures and craft.  My blog is where I can share all the things that I enjoy and enjoy doing.
One of the things that I really enjoy is fashion.  I love clothes, but I don’t love paying a lot for them, so I try my hand at creating my own version of things.  It’s helping me work on my sewing skills :)  This is one of my favorite tee makeovers-a bowtie tee inspired by one I saw on Mod Cloth.  I was able to put the whole thing together for under $5!
One thing I like to share at Scraps and Scribbles is tips.  When I find something that can make someone’s life easier, I like to share it.  I did a series on make-up tips a while back-this one was on how to shape your brows.
I love cooking, especially baking.  I’ve got a bit of a sweet tooth and these surprise cupcakes satisfy it every time!
Crafting is definitely high on my list of likes.  I love making things that are functional, nice to look at and easy on the wallet.  To satisfy my wreath need, I created this interchangeable wreath.  The embellishments can be switched out as the season or whim changes, eliminating that pile of wreaths!
Another love of mine is photography.  I got hooked as a teenager and have been loving it ever since.  It lets me be creative in a way that I love.  This lovely family above are childhood friends of my family and it was such a fun shoot!
And that’s Scraps and Scribbles in a nutshell!  I hope you all stop by and say hi.  My posting has been a bit scarce as of late, with the new baby and all, but I’d still love to meet you!  Thanks again Missy for letting me drop in!  Come on by and have a look around!

Mike had a chance to stop and see our friends at Second Chance in Baltimore, MD.  They are moving to their new home, consolidating multiple warehouses under one roof.  If you are able to stop by, check out this great organization! For more details, click HERE.

You may remember that Sytyc took the long break over the holidays in part because i was moving from Minnesota to Kentucky. Well, i unpacked my last box last Sunday. The next day my husband called me from work and told me we had 2 days to repack and move to Boston. He was being transferred…again.

I had a minor heart attack, but we made it here to Massachusetts on Saturday safe and sound. However, i have no internet access for a while (thank goodness for smartphones so i can at least get this post up).

So now to the point: the first challenge of the season 10 All-Star round will be on January 26th.

I’ll see you all then!

What a week! Some of you may remember that last October we put our house on the market. It was really slow-going over the holiday season, but this week we accepted an offer! Negotiations, inspections (and lets be honest, cleaning!) made for a busy week! I was expecting to wait a lot longer since we didn't want to drop the price very much, so we're happy–as much as we can expect to be in this economy at least. Now the fun can really start...house hunting! We couldn't help but start our search a little early and have already seen some really great homes, and are excited to dig a little deeper to see what else is out there! I'm thinking this lovely Martha's Vineyard gem featured in Design New England and photographed by Eric Roth would be perfect! ;)

Before I sign off, I need to announce the winner of the HeartGram giveaway!

And with that, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!
